coffee shop

the one thing i hate about working at a coffee shop (there are more but are irrelevant at the moment) is when a customer comes in and asks for a specialty drink made by another coffee shop.
hate it.

i don't know if many of you are familiar with coffee beanery's 'black and white' drink but it's a drink that people come in and ask for all the time.
they come up to us and say "hey, do you guys know how to make the black and white from coffee beanery?"
we always want to say something sarcastic like "no, because this is not coffee beanery" but are forced to say(with a smile) "no, but can i offer you something else to drink"

anyways gem,mya(co-workers)and i go to coffee beanery wed. night to try and figure it out ourselves.
how?
by close examination into what they put in and one of our many senses taste.
and after hours of taste testing and close watching we've come up with a java hut version of it!
at least gem did.
a customer came in today and asked for something like it.
and on gem's first try she mastered it.
finally.

we have this guy who has been coming in for the past couple of days now(we call him mya's stalker), and he's just a real nut job. i'll save his story for another day. but today he came in with his son who's about 1yo. anyways as im ringing him up for his order i look at his son he's holding and i freak out cause he looked like a pit bull puppy.
so i lure him into the kids corner by showing him our toys and turning on the t.v.(with my camera in hand) and i snap a picture of him
this is the best out of the 3 i took

i don't know if you guys see it but i know what i saw and he looked like a pit!

update on life:
you can catch me with these kids on any given day.

super cr3w

you guess'd correct, if you guess'd that super cr3w was on island.
they were here last week performing two shows at the phoneix center.
they are some real chill guys.
if you don't know ronnie boy (super cr3w) is from guam and thier choreographer who also came with them (jesse lee santos) is also from guam.
it was real cool NO its GREAT to see people doing it big all over the world come from a small island like guam.

the two pictures(pt.1 josh nd jer pt.2 jason nd' p.j.) were taken at their autography signing last thursday.
the night before that they had open auditions at agana shopping center for any groups who wanted to join the stage with them.

okay so these videos are the only vidoes i could find on youtube who audtion'd. there were 6 all together.
out of the six 4 were choosen. 1 out of the 4 groups were suppose to 'share the stage with super cr3w'. it didn't turn out that way.
anyways the group that was suppose to perform with them was zircle one. thier video was the last one.
the second vid. was from my brother josh n jeremys group, they made it too.
the group in the first video didn't make it.

so josh and jer performed when jabba, kaba, fanny and boggie came to guam which were great and all but this concert was 10x better cause this time my youngest brother jason was able to perform.

how...
okay so during the auditons the groups had to auditon twice.
it was the second round and the 5th group was up but something was wrong with their cd. 5 mins past and still it's not working, everyone is sitting there waiting patiently.
i see jason(7yo) running from one side of the dancing area and he stops in the middle and does a head spin and runs to the other side to his friends, everyone cheers.
then do-knock(the guy who was always crying s.2 abdc)goes and does a head spin and a flip, then jason goes back and does a flip to.
they go at it for at least 4 rounds.
by then everyones cheering jasons name. it was crazy exciting!
[music is finally back on]
after they choose the winners they have an open circle for all the bboys to come out and also get a chance to perform in the concert.
in the end they chose jason to be one of the bboys.
and if you saw the concert it was great cause he was such a small kid breaking with all these older guys.
super cr3w treated him like he was their little brother eveyone did. the bboys took care of him watched over him backstage and during rehersals.
he was a happy kid.
it was so good to see him on stage.

i'll upload more pictures and videos of the concert when i find the time (hopefully)
will update soon!
promise.

Bullshit work

work has been bullshit!
serious bullshit!
i have a coworker who (thank GOD i don't have to open with all the time anymore)comes in late all the fucken time.
it's a bitch
but whats even more fucken irritating?
let me let you all in on the day that it happened.
i come in at 5:18 am.
i start getting the coffees/muffins done.
just the typical opening the shop duties and my coworker is late.
she always comes in 10 to 15 mins. late so i wasn't freakin out. but then 5:50 came and we had no ice, and she usually goes to the store to buy all that.
so i call her.
she says she's almost in.
about 10 mins. later she calls sayin shes almost at the store she'll just buy it now. i tell her ice and lettuce and newspaper
and im already irritated because i had to open the shop by myself and when i called her at 5:50 she said she was almost at the shop.
it takes me at least 15 mins. to get to work from my place and she lives closer to work so when you say your almost at the shop you mean 'i'm just leaving my house now'
then she calls about 5 mins. later saying the store has no ice so she has to go to another store to find some.
she finally comes in at 6:30.
good thing we didn't get any customers until after she came in.
now you may think i'm over reacting and just being a bitch right
right but get this
5 days later i come into work and i clock in, as i clock in i see her time card and i check it out.
and on the day she came to work late she writes in her time.
what time... 5 fucken 45! on the card she writes 'i forgot to clock in'!
i was fucken pissed this morning.
i ain't never want to be a snitch but if i can come in 5 to 10 mins before i should be in then any motherfucker who has been doing this for 4 years can do the same or at least on time and no bullshitting on the time you be commin' in.

update more later

kingpin johnny

we lost the kingpin yesterday.
my lolo johnny died in the phillipines at 79. typical filipino way: high blood pressure/heart attack
i can't say for sure but to me he was my grandpa's closest cousin.
he was also the biggest drug dealer i knew.
growing up i was told stories about him, about what he did.
and if you'd ever seen him you'd know.
typical filipino gangster
the way he dressed, the flyest shit.
he had his silk long sleeved polo, with the creased slacks and the shiny black boots.
he stood tall, always, with one hand in the pocket and the other with a cigarette.
cologne you could smell miles away. decked out in gold jewelry:chains, bracelets, watches, rings you name it.
typical filipino gangster.
always had a driver, always had someone standing watch.
so to see him and to see my grandpa it's weird to know they were related, let alone close.
makes me wonder if my grandpa was ever apart of it all.
all that hype.
lolo johnny had the biggest homes, the guards the shiny things
and grandpa had nice things to, but not as nice i wonder if he ever dabbled in that "business"
because if he did, that would be fucken solid!
just kidding.
but yes i wonder because if he did then my perception of him would be false.
in my eyes, he was a man
the definition of 'the real man'
worked hard, provided for his family.
all his family
housed his wife and kids as well as his sisters/brothers family.
he may of left my grandma but he always came back to make sure she was well off.
and making money by dealin' made you somewhat less of a man.
and my grandpa was nothing close to a lesser man.
